Anyone else get the 14 day free re-eval from Funcom?

I think I might have to reinstall it and give it another go just to see what they've done for the past year if anything, lol.

Personally I'm surprised the game is still around but I do miss it at times.

Age of Conan?
Nate told me it was fun for a few, but then it started to suck.
Or there wasnt enough content.
Or something.

Yup, the game for the first 20 lvls was really amazing but after that it lost interest of many people.

It wasn't carved in stone like eq2 and wow, quests were difficult, dungeons were unfinished, bosses looked retarded.

Myself and a few others somehow managed to lvl up to 50-60's and get a horsey mount but thats when we decided to go back to wow.

It's been a year since then and they've made many drastic changes to the game and somehow managed to keep quite a bit of subs so what the hell, I figure I'll try it out and see if it's any better.

I'll prolly end up playing for an hour then uninstalling it, lmao.

Aye, first 20 levels were epic, and then all downhill IMO. They put so much time and effort into the development and quest chains in the first 20, then you get out of tourage and it's like umm, wtf, did they forget to finish this game? Big letdown, pimp looking character, but everything else looked shitty. I'll give it another go around and just check it out and see if they did anything worth while, i'm sure i'll quit like all my other MMO's and eventually go back to wow...

lol!

Keep quite a bit of subs? Last I heard they merged there 34 servers into 5 servers and even those 5 are quite dead... From what I have read they have added a few more dungeons, and focused primarily on the mass pvp they proclaimed they would have at release and they still don't have it. They have done nothing to make the grind past 20 to be as fun as 1-20 which would have been in their best interest imo. The few raiding guilds I was checking in on have quit and moved onto other games as their was no end game to speak of in aoc. The end game was basically like 2 dungeons that were zerg fest and got cleared in the first month of the game releasing. Not to mention itemization was crap. You could have quested/normal dungeon gear and be on par with the best geared raiders on the server. FunCom proclaimed they done this to preserve balance in pvp. They didn't want non raiders getting pwnd by raiders, yet there was no reward for pvping as far as gear goes like in wow. So you equiped crafted so called pvp gear which was basically the same as dungeon/quested gear with some stats moved around a little.

All in all I will never play another game made by FunCom. They had an epic scenario to build on and failed miserably. They had some awesome devs and graphic artists but in the end they lacked the few thing that keep people playing a game, interesting game play, progression and most of all FUN... FunCom seems to not know how to live up to their own name, or maybe they were just named wrong... wtg FailCom

Man, thats lame.

The books are good (at least thats what i hear) so its kind of a bummer that the game cant live up to its reputation.

There was such a big buzz about how great and amazing it was going to be before it came out, and when it was on Beta.

Yup, the hype was definetly there and a lot of promises, like DX10 with launch and we are now getting that a year later... come on , don't sell DX10 support if you know it won't be included for over a year... and i'm not sure how anyone could say the game was finished when it was released, whoever did should have been fired.. 1-20 was finished.. 20-80 or whatever the cap was, was not finished....no where close.
